It depends on the product. Some Thai diclofenac products are specially controlled drugs (prescription only) and others are dangerous drugs (pharmacist only, no prescription needed). Check the legal class of each product in the table below.

Can I bring Diclofenac into Thailand?

Allowed for personal use: up to 30 days’ supply

  • Bring no more than 30 days’ supply for your own use.
  • Keep it in the original container.
  • Carry your prescription or a doctor’s letter.
  • Medicines cannot be posted or shipped to you in Thailand. The 30-day allowance applies to medicines you carry.

Is Diclofenac a narcotic or controlled substance in Thailand?

No. Diclofenac is not a narcotic or psychotropic substance in Thailand. On the Thai FDA list it appears in the “others” group. The ordinary medicine rules apply.
